Product carbon footprint (PCF) tracking pilot with Catena-X technology: Ford, Flex, T-Systems, and IBM at CES 2024

We were at CES 2024, from January 9 to 12 in Las Vegas!

Flex and Ford are partinering with T-Systems International (TSI) and IBM to launch the automotive industry's first CO2 or product carbon footprint (PCF) tracking pilot with a live data chain across multiple supply chain tiers. The pilot utilized new technology from Catena-X, the first open and interoperable data ecosystem for the automotive industry.

During CES 2024, our team revealed breakthrough results for the data exchange part of PCF tracking: Our pilot demonstrated live how the Catena-X data space overcame the barrier of data sharing across organizations with built-in data sovereignty protection – parties that did not trust each other could protect their data rights and trust a data transaction.

During the event, attendees witnessed business benefits firsthand and how to join the pilot and Catena-X with our experts of the Telekom Data Intelligence Hub: Chris Schlueter Langdon, Product Manager of Catena-X Consortium and Catena-X Business Development Manager for U.S., and Luca Löffler, expert on Catena-X case studies and onboarding.

Ford, Flex, IBM and TSI successfully demonstrated the PCF pilot in IBM’s meeting room at CES 2024 from January 9 – 12.
