Ready for physical AI and truthful Digital Twins? The shift from silos to decentralized dataspaces

Save the date

CES is renowned for showcasing tech innovations—sometimes bold, mostly with real-world impact—from virtual reality and 3D printing to self-driving cars and 5G. This year, a new wave is rolling in: GenAI is accelerating the rise of Industrial and Physical AI, putting data readiness—inside the enterprise and across entire supply chains—squarely on the CEO and executive agenda.

Fortunately, distributed web technology has kept pace. Dataspace technology and data ecosystems such as Catena-X in automotive now enable secure, sovereign data transactions across companies, with built-in IP and usage-rights protection. First movers are already benefiting from “truthful” digital twins—for example, answering “How much China is in your product?”—as a launchpad into Physical AI.

But don’t just take our word for it—come and see for yourself. We will share the WHY—strategies, use cases, economics—and the HOW—best practices, quick wins, scaling—based on pioneering CES launches, award-winning pilots with Ford and Flex, and production implementations with BMW and others.

OUR SESSIONS

(1) Jan 6, 11:00-12:30 PST | Showfloor panel: HOW to get data right for digital twins and AI – efficiency boost with dataspace tech

Location: Deutsche Telekom IoT booth, LVCC West Hall, 3177

Join a practical panel discussion at the Telekom booth on the showroom floor. Dataspace technology has left the lab and is already in production with first success stories, dozens of users, and tens of thousands of mission-critical transactions per day. Learn from pioneers how to scale this in your enterprise and across supply chains spanning Asia, North America, and Europe.

Participants: Anja Lang (Head of Catena-X, BMW Group), Nicole Stevenson (VP Marketing & Strategy, Flex Automotive), Kevin Piotrowski (CTO, AIAG), ... and moderator, Prof. Dr. Chris Schlueter Langdon (Drucker School; Telekom / Product Manager Catena-X Consortium)

Invitations: Open to showfloor audiences as well as invited guests, no registration required

(2) Jan 7, 10:30-12:00 PST | C-suite roundtable: WHY data readiness for success with digital twins and industrial AI

Location: Aria Hotel, T-Mobile Meeting Room, Primrose 4 (Level 3)

Join an invitation-only, closed-room meetup with peers to explore WHY data readiness has become a true board-level issue for truthful digital twins and industrial AI—shaping growth, risk, and competitiveness. Hear from pioneers on concrete strategies, flagship use cases, and emerging economics for turning sensitive internal and cross-company data into measurable business advantage, alongside senior leaders from automakers like BMW, top tier 1s like Flex, and leading organizations like Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG), a 4,000-member association setting global standards for automotive quality and supply chains.

Participants: Anja Lang (Head of Catena-X, BMW Group), Kevin Piotrowski (CTO, AIAG), Nicole Stevenson (VP Marketing & Strategy, Flex Automotive), T-Mobile (TBD), T-Systems NA (CEO), ... and moderator, Prof. Dr. Chris Schlueter Langdon (Drucker School; Telekom / Product Manager Catena-X Consortium)

Invitations: Closed, invitation-only

(3) Jan 7, 15:00-16:30 PST | Catena-X supplier onboarding

Location: Aria Hotel, T-Mobile Meeting Room, Primrose 4 (Level 3)

Catena-X supports your digital transformation in supply chains replacing fragmented data exchange and costly one-to-one integrations with a single unified network interface so you can meet new requirements including digital product passport and product carbon footprint tracking as well as digital twin opportunities once and seamlessly connect with all OEMs and your own suppliers at scale.

Partners: Hosted by T-Mobile, supported by AIAG, organized by T-Systems, invitations by BMW Group

Invitations: If you have received a personalized invitation email, please register here

Past highlights

CES 2025

(1) Panel hosted by PwC in its Venetian Experience Lounge, featuring experts from PwC, Strategy&, Flex Automotive, and Deutsche Telekom’s T-Systems on pioneering decentralized dataspace technology to boost supply chain performance, illustrated through product carbon footprint (PCF) calculation and tracking with primary scope-3 data.

(2) Panel hosted on IAV’s West Hall booth premiered the use of browser-based Dataspace-as-a-Service technology to break down internal and cross-company data silos and boost AI-ready data for competitive advantage in software-defined vehicle (SDV) solutions, led by Saskia Kohlhaas (CDO & EVP IT, IAV) and Prof. Dr. Chris Schlueter Langdon (Telekom) with CEOs and top executives from IAV, AIAG, and Denso.

CES 2024

Carbon Footprint (PCF) tracking with Catena-X: Ford Motor Company and Flex are partnering with T-Systems International (TSI) and IBM to launch the automotive industry's first CO2 or product carbon footprint (PCF) tracking pilot with a live data chain across multiple supply chain tiers. The pilot is utilizing new technology from Catena-X, the first open and interoperable data ecosystem for the automotive industry.
