Cluster

Glossary Page

A cluster consists of worker nodes that run containerized applications. Each cluster must have at least one worker node. Pods, which make up the application workload, are hosted on the worker nodes. The control plane oversees the worker nodes and the Pods in the cluster. In production environments, the control plane usually runs on multiple computers. A cluster typically has multiple nodes to ensure fault-tolerance and high availability.
