Since the parliamentary election in 2013, the responsibility for telecommunications infrastructures lies within the domain of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI). The main objective of the Broadband Office of the Federal Government is to support the broadband strategy of the federal government.
