Das Remote Management Control Protocol (RMCP) wird im Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) zur Kommunikation zwischen zwei Baseboard Management Controllern (BMC) oder über die Busse und LANs verwendet. Die Daten des RMCP werden als Datagramme mit dem User Datagram Protocol (UDP) übertragen, was auch als IPMI over LAN bezeichnet wird. Die IP-Adressen werden dabei durch IPMI festgelegt.

T-Systems and NTT Communications partnership: Connecting dataspaces globally with a test environment for dataspaces in Japan
