AIAG has launched the Catena-X Hub North America, advancing the adoption of trusted dataspace technology for the automotive industry. At its VIP Immersion event in Detroit, industry leaders explored use cases like Product Carbon Footprint tracking, Quality Detection and Prevention, and Demand & Capacity Management. With T-Systems and other partners driving implementation, the hub sets the stage for secure, scalable, and collaborative data sharing to boost efficiency, compliance, and innovation across the automotive value chain.

AIAG has launched the Catena-X Hub North America at ALSC 2025, marking a major step in scaling the trusted automotive data ecosystem globally. The hub will accelerate digital transformation, supply chain collaboration, and sustainability initiatives by enabling secure, sovereign data exchange. The launch featured expert panels, success stories like the Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) tracking pilot, and reinforced Catena-X’s role in driving efficiency and innovation across the value chain.

At Hannover Messe 2025, Deutsche Telekom’s Data Intelligence Hub showcased its Dataspace-as-a-Service and “dataphone” products across five exhibits and eleven live demos, demonstrating real-world use cases in automotive, robotics, and industrial ecosystems. With strategic investments into the core dataspace network, foundational infrastructure, and data-layer super-apps, Telekom is driving scalable, secure, and standards-based data collaboration. Whether joining Catena-X, building internal dataspaces, or forming cross-industry data ecosystems, enterprises now have proven tools to unlock value from their data with full governance, interoperability, and sovereignty.

At CES 2025, dataspaces take center stage in AI readiness and supply chain transformation. With pioneers like Catena-X and Ouranos, cross-organizational data sharing is unlocking high-quality datasets for AI and digital twins. Showcasing business cases from Ford-Flex+ to IAV’s internal dataspace, we explore how dataspaces fuel sustainability, efficiency, and next-gen automotive innovation.

RoX is creating a cutting-edge digital ecosystem for AI-based robotics, revolutionizing manufacturing, logistics, and services through data-driven efficiency and collaboration. Supported by BMWK funding and an extensive consortium including industry giants and SMEs, RoX aims to simplify adoption, enhance interoperability, and drive Europe’s industrial innovation forward.

Catena-X partners with AIAG to launch a North American hub, advancing data sharing for sustainability in automotive supply chains. Their innovative approach uses Web3 technology for secure, scalable, and efficient data exchange, including live demonstrations of Product Carbon Footprint tracking.

The Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action successfully facilitated the CX project, bringing together 28 companies, including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Volkswagen, for a three-year, EUR 250 million initiative. Using agile methodologies and the SAFe framework, the project delivered significant innovations in urban mobility through open-source software. The Data ECOSYSTEM software system, a major outcome, enables trustworthy cross-organizational data exchange, highlighted by the implementation of Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) tracking to reduce CO2 emissions.

The Telekom Data Intelligence Hub, alongside Acatech and DLR, recently embarked on a U.S. tour to discuss and showcase the potential of dataspace technology in the automotive and aerospace industries. The delegation visited Washington D.C. to engage with policymakers at the U.S. National Academy of Engineering and continued to Silicon Valley to connect with tech innovators at Stanford University and Accenture Labs. The tour underscored the global importance of dataspaces and their transformative impact on supply chains, emphasizing the successful integration and commercial viability demonstrated at events like CES and Hannover Fair 2024.
