Diese Organisation fungiert als Unterstiftung der Linux Foundation und hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, die Einführung von Cloud-nativem Computing branchen- und plattformübergreifend zu fördern. Durch die Bereitstellung einer Plattform für Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung möchte die CNCF Cloud-natives Computing allgegenwärtig machen und Organisationen in die Lage versetzen, die Vorteile von Containerisierung und Microservices für ihre Anwendungen und Dienste zu nutzen.
