Object databases have been in use for many years and are closely integrated with object-oriented programming languages. They also come in a NoSQL version. Object databases provide benefits in handling multiple user activities concurrently, navigating objects efficiently, and are particularly suitable for distributed architectures. These databases adhere to the same model as object-oriented programming languages such as C#, Java, Objective-C, Perl, Python, Ruby, or Smalltalk, among others.
