Die IDS-G-Spezifikation "Connector" bezieht sich auf einen spezialisierten Server, der Daten gemäß der Standard-Connector-Spezifikation senden und empfangen kann. Es gibt verschiedene Arten von Konnektoren, darunter den Basis-Konnektor und den vertrauenswürdigen Konnektor sowie den internen und den externen Konnektor. Diese verschiedenen Arten von Konnektoren werden auf der Grundlage spezifischer Kriterien definiert, die in der IDS-G-Spezifikation festgelegt sind.
