Der Pod-Lebenszyklus bezieht sich auf eine Reihe von Phasen, die ein Pod während seiner Existenz durchläuft. Er wird durch eine Reihe von Zuständen oder Phasen definiert, in denen sich ein Pod befinden kann. Zu diesen Phasen gehören Pending, Running, Succeeded, Failed und Unknown. Der Gesamtstatus eines Pods wird durch das Phasenfeld PodStatus dargestellt, das eine kurze Beschreibung seines aktuellen Zustands enthält.
