Ein Kubernetes-Volume ist ein Verzeichnis, das Daten speichert, auf die Container innerhalb eines Pods zugreifen können. Das Volume hat die gleiche Lebensdauer wie der Pod, zu dem es gehört, d. h. es bleibt auch dann bestehen, wenn die im Pod laufenden Container neu gestartet oder beendet werden.
