The GovTech Leaders event proved to be an inspiring and groundbreaking platform for fostering innovation within the public sector. With a strong focus on making innovation "business as usual," the event emphasized the need for continual adaptation and technological advancements in government and public services. 

The Baltics prove that innovation works for public 

The Baltics, particularly Lithuania, took the center stage, showcasing their dynamic and thriving GovTech landscape. Known for leading the way in public sector innovation, Lithuania demonstrated the strength of their ecosystem, highlighting best practices and successful collaborations.

The event kicked off with powerful opening talks led by female leaders from across the public sector, setting an inspiring tone for the discussions. Keynote addresses were delivered by Lithuanian Prime minister Ingrida Šimonytė and Lithuanian Deputy Minister for Economy and Innovation Erika Kuročkina, Director of the Innovation Agency of Lithuania Romualda Stragienė. Additioned by best practices from the US and UK, each sharing valuable insights into how their respective countries are driving forward GovTech innovation.  

European Young Innovators contribute to sweet spots of the twin transition 

In the extended frame of the event, the WSA European Young Innovators Jury meeting took place in Vilnius, hosted by the State Digital Solutions Agency (SDSA). 12 Grand Jury members came together to review, compare, and discuss an impressive array of projects, ultimately selecting 15 winning solutions that showcased innovation and impact across Europe. This dynamic group further enriched the audience of GovTech Leaders, promoting a focus on youth-driven innovation and the future of public sector solutions.

Public innovation needs solid service expertise – T-Systems capabilities 

T-Systems, represented by Nina Popanton, Business Development Executive at Telekom Data Intelligence Hub, has a strong track record in providing cutting-edge technology and solutions for the public sector. Their emphasis on dataspaces – an innovative approach to data infrastructures that support secure data sharing and collaboration – aligns perfectly with the overarching theme of scaling global impact through local innovation.
