T-Systems workshop on “Build & Operate” and dataspaces focuses on business potential

At the EuProGiant Open House Day 2024, the project family showcased how strong the German-Austrian Ecosystem for Manufacturing is. Supported by Politics and Academia, EuProGigant and its project-sisters AMIDS, Dione-X, ESCOM and Flex4Res prove how practical use cases realized on Data Space technology can look like. On the Pre-Day of the event, T-Systems presented in a practical workshop what Build & Operate is and how dataspaces serve business purposes.

Build & Operate as easy entry to dataspace benefits

The focus of the workshop was on making dataspaces more accessible and usable for companies, highlighting the need for practical, hands-on approaches. Build & Operate offers a dynamic test environment where companies can experiment with dataspaces and directly see how these digital infrastructures can improve their business processes, fostering innovation, efficiency, and enhanced collaboration across industries. This approach promotes data-driven solutions while reducing risks.

AMIDS as a prime example for Manufacturing dataspaces

The AMIDS project is a prime example of the practical use of these dataspaces, as it enables the secure exchange of data across locations in the manufacturing industry. It focuses on enabling secure and interoperable data exchange across different manufacturing sites and organizations. By leveraging dataspaces, AMIDS enhances collaboration, optimizes production processes, and improves supply chain resilience. The project supports a seamless and standardized approach to sharing sensitive industrial data, fostering innovation and efficiency in advanced manufacturing sectors.

Palais Ferstel – Bridging past and future innovation

The Palais Ferstel in Vienna, historically known as one of the first hubs for Vienna’s industrial stock market, was an ideal venue for hosting the event. Its rich legacy of facilitating industrial and economic exchange made it the perfect backdrop for the rapidly expanding manufacturing data ecosystem. The stately architecture and historical significance of the building underscored the importance of bridging past and future innovation.
