About T-Systems

T-Systems accompanies its customers on the path to digitization. As a company, we offer integrated solutions for business customers. At Deutsche Telekom’s subsidiary, everything comes from a single source: from secure operation of existing systems and traditional IT and telecommunications services to transformation to the cloud, including international networks. From the demand-driven provision of infrastructure, platforms and software to new business models and innovation projects on the Internet of Things. The basis for this is global reach for fixed and mobile networks, highly secure data centers, a comprehensive cloud ecosystem with standardized platforms and worldwide partnerships, and maximum security.

Databricks on the Telekom Data Intelligence Hub

Databricks’ Lakehouse Platform helps organizations accelerate innovation by unifying data teams with an open, scalable platform for all of their data-driven use cases. From streaming analytics and AI to business intelligence (BI), Databricks provides a modern lakehouse architecture that unifies data engineering, data science, machine learning and analytics within a single collaborative platform.

T-Systems’ Data Intelligence Hub offers Databricks on its platform to provide customers with an all-around solution for collaborating on projects, creating dashboards, storing data more securely, a machine learning environment that makes it easy to create, train, manage and deploy machine and deep learning models, and the ability to track and secure those models, training runs and ongoing machine learning projects.

This way data teams don’t have to worry about the environment they’re working in and can fully focus on the task at hand, extracting important information to make better and more accurate decisions, as well as providing a more time- and cost-efficient alternative compared to traditional data analytics workflows. These tools, namely Databricks, Databricks’ MLflow and JupyterHub, have enabled T-Systems’ data experts to create a service that allows precise tracking of promotional activities throughout the entire lifecycle. This allows customers to maximize sales potential by understanding time spent on the sales floor and provide detailed insight for the evaluation of success of the promotional campaign, as well as easy differentiation of promotional activities based on separate regions to better target separate audiences (for further information: link).

Getting started

The Telekom Data Intelligence Hub provides a secure platform for sharing and analyzing data. Its architecture is based on the strict guidelines of the IDSA (International Dataspaces Association) and ensures that data providers retain full control over the data at all times, i.e., they can decide who can use it, how and for how long. Data Sovereignty is a key factor on which the Data Intelligence Hub bases all its decisions to ensure a trusted environment where participants can innovate and create new data from existing datasets or make their datasets available to other participants.
